The warranties carried by Perth Pest Control are the highest level warranties in the industry but what do they cover? Possibly the easiest way to explain this is to differentiate between our general pest warranties and termite warranties:
General pest warranty – most of our general pests (ants, spiders, mice etc) are covered for a minimum 3 month period. That is if, after our initial treatment, those pests for which we have treated return, we also will return and re-treat as required.
Termite warranty – an extremely important warranty and one that can be considered in 3 parts –
All of the above points are covered in simple, plain English on all our termite contracts.
The first thing that needs to be pointed out is that with point 3 above, we will 100% ‘make good’ any damaged area as stated and in real estate parlance, ‘making good’ means returning it to its original state. We don’t equivocate on this point and wish to make it perfectly clear. We say this because there have seen instances of unscrupulous pest controllers reneging on this part of their warranties and so it’s important to us that there is no ambiguity and to this end, we will give our customers very clear, written warranties with all our termite treatments.
Some pest control companies rely on manufacturer’s warranties and this is fine however we go one step further and also maintain our warranties ourselves. We are a fully insured company with QBE Insurance and again, can provide details of this if required.
After the initial 12 month period from treatment, by Australian Standards 3660, there should be an annual inspection done on the property and if the annual inspection is not undertaken, the warranty becomes void. It should be pointed out that this annual inspection is not a contract as such. We don’t ‘lock you in’ for a 5 five year period and you can stop it at any time, we will however maintain the same price for the inspections over the 5 year period and then after, it will only be increased by CPI.
Perth Pest Control is a second generation Western Australian family business and we take our responsibility to the community very seriously. We have strong links with Telethon and in fact a portion of all work we undertake is donated to the Telethon Foundation so make no mistake, not only are our warranties industry leading, our follow through with them is vitally important to us as we value not only new customers, but ones that return year after year to use our services.
